(More customer reviews)...it generates a fair amount of RF interference.If you use this in a car, you can pretty much expect that your AM radio reception will be significantly compromised, and if you use it to power a CD power or similar, unless the player itself is quite well filtered internally, you'll notice audible buzzing through the player's audio outputs (I have a Sony CD player that is really bad in this regard).

It does do a fine job of creating power, and I suppose for the price you can't really ask for a lot of internal filtering.So... the bottom line is that it's a fine product if the aforementioned limitations either don't apply to you or don't bother you.

I had tried two other products, and in each case, the iPhone and it's holder were too heavy to hold the item securely. But this adapter is incredibly sturdy and works beautifully. I don't know if it will survive in the long term, but since the male plug is not movable at all, it should last as long as it needs to. No problems with powering up the devices, connection is very solid. I work on the road, am in my car constantly, and so this is the perfectcompanion to make my ride comfortable. The adapter is very compact, so it fits perfectly, and I suspect it would fit most cars with no problem.I recommend this item highly to anyone who needs to simultaneously plug in 2 devices to their car's electrical socket.

I did receive an email from the seller after advising my situation, I was impressed by the fast response. this may or may not have been a factory defect. Bottom line, is the unit broke, for whatever reason.

(More customer reviews)First, I want to clarify from the other review that said this only had 3 usable ports and 1 for the cigarette lighter only. This didn't make sense to me because a normal cig. lighter is typically used for other DC items. The fact is, there is one marked for a cig. lighter, and the other 3 cannot. But all 4 can be used for any electronics. There are 4 12V-DC power sockets.

Second, the size is not that bad for having 4 ports. I ordered the 3-port and 4-port and they're both the same size.

I've been using this with a GPS, Sirius radio, and phone charger with no problems. I'm sure I'll be able to add more items as well.

UPDATE:
After using this for over a year, I have no problems and am glad to have the extra ports. Many times I've used all four ports plus an additional one in my vehicle. I have it sitting loosely in a van and it takes a beating well. Every once in awhile I have to wiggle one of the cables, or pull it out and plug it back in, but it works! I'm definitely happy with this.
