(More customer reviews)I bought this unit at Sam's club and did not have high expectations after reading all the reviews for the ones costing 3 times as much, but I was taking a cross country trip and wanted to have it to while the time away.It was great!I'll be honest, it is hard to hear some dialoque on airplanes, but I think better headphones would help.I decided to play foreign films so I could read along with the subtitles and that solved that problem.I watched one and a half movies on a trip from Raliegh to LA and it was the nicest time on a plane I have ever had.The pictures is amazing, and if you aren't on a plane the sound is great.When the battery dies (after about 3 hours), it makes a horrible sound, and the games included are loud and archaic, but I didn't buy it for games, so I don't mind.I really like this system and it was a great price.I bought a year long extended warranty just in case after reading the reviews.I've had it a month and have seen about 8 discs on it.I love it. I figure if it lasts 2 years, I have more than gotten my money's worth.

The D1812PK comes with a deluxe road kit featuring a carrying case that doubles as a headrest, 2 sets of folding, over-ear headphones (headphone audio splitter not included), a battery-saving vehicle DC power adapter, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides around 2 hours of playback (power consumption depends on the operations of the player, such as screen brightness, volume level, etc).
The player comes with switchable audio/video input/output jacks, letting you use it on the road for monitoring camcorder footage or gaming devices, or in the home as a high-quality video source device using the supplied AV cables. Listen through the unit's built-in stereo speakers or through headphones. With the battery pack attached, the unit weighs 2 pounds.

(More customer reviews)We purchased this item from Wal-Mart a while back.We took them with us on an 2 week trip and they were great at first.After a couple of uses, the battery wouldn't charge any more and before we arrived home it would no longer read the DVD.My good friends at Wal-mart were less than helpful and the warrenty is invalid because the manufacturer went out of business.Be careful be for you buy this one.

(More customer reviews)I thought this power supply did better than I expected.Running a Dell D610 under normal use, I got about 50 minutes with.Given that it has 4Mah of storage, that is better than I could have hoped for.I would caution anyone that thinks they should get 9 hours of computer battery life to read the specs and understand what the power requirements of a computer are. There isn't an easily portable product on the market that can do that. A gas generator would but they don't allow those on airplane for some reason???All kidding aside, one issue that anyone using this with a laptop should realize is that it won't automatically kick the computer into an energy saving mode like it does when you switch to your internal battery so the power draw will be higher and the battery won't last as long even though it is rated pretty close to the same capacity as a normal laptop battery.Anyway, it does well charging my gadgets which is the real reason I bought it anyway.It is worth spending the extra money on this instead of the smaller one because it will give a full charge to the palm, camera battery and the cell phone at the same time.
