(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these, one for myself and the other for my father. I also installed both of them an our bikes and they work perfectly.

As far as installation goes, I would recommend using a fuse tap (such as an add-a-circuit) from and auto parts store so that the converter box in the line doesn't drain the battery if you don't ride for a while.You may find, however that your fuse circuit is still hot because you may have relays on your fuse box, in that case, I would recommend installing a switch with the hot wire running into the fuse tap so that all you need to do is flip the switch off and the converter box will not use up your battery.

I don't think the converter box uses up that much power, but if it is directly connected to your battery (or you have the fuse tap in a hot circuit ((by hot circuit, I mean that it is getting power even with the ignition off))), the converter box IS using power constantly, so that is why i recommend using a switch or a fuse tap to a switched circuit (meaning a circuit that is not receiving power when the ignition is off).

make sure you ground everything you install, or it won't work, and make sure every new line has a fuse (why i recommend the fuse tap).

If you install a switch, you will have to ground the switch as well as the converter box, or the setup will not work.

If you have any question for motorcycle install, feel free to ask... I know how difficult it can be to find answers to these questions, but fortunately i found a setup that worked for me and my dad.

(More customer reviews)Great - especially for the price, it seems to work fine and it's handy to be able to charge your unit in some place other than the car and then use the unit inside a hotel room or house. My only frustration is that the charger does not show when the unit is fully charged, like having its' green light turn off or give me an idea in some instructions how long a full charge will take. However since I am using this for the Magellan 1340 that fault might also lie within the Magellan. I wish the information that the unit cannot be overcharged was listed in an instruction sheet that should be included .

(More customer reviews)When I got my Tom Tom One, there was a quick start guide that was to say the least inadequite.One of the things they left out was the fact that you can charge your Tom Tom using the USB cable connected to your computer.Insted they have a stern warning in their quick start guide suggesting you spend 30 bucks more to buy the Charger.The Charger works fine, but I don't think much of Tom Tom's business ethics in not including detailed information about their product when the consumer purchases it so you don't end up spending money on things you really don't need.For that reason, I wouldn't give Tom Tom any stars.

(More customer reviews)After breaking the power cord for my Magellan GPS, I looked around for a replacement.Magellan was ready to sell me a new one for $25.Same price for a generic one from an electronics store.Then I found another one here at Amazon for $12.And, finally, I came across this one for less than a dollar.The price disparity was so great that I was inclined to be suspicious of its quality, but for less than a dollar I was willing to risk it.It works just fine.As noted by another reviewer, the cord is just a little on the short side, but I have found it long enough to reach over the steering wheel from the cigarette lighter to the lower left corner of the windshield in my 2003 Toyota Rav-4.I've only needed to use it a single time since the purchase - but so far, so good.
