(More customer reviews)I have been looking for a portable tire inflator I can use for my motorcycle and with the lack of choices, I deicded to give the Slime Tire Inflator a try.The inflator is really small (a little larger than the palm as the picture indicates) and comes with a case that fit all the wires and the unit itself.The unit draws power only from the battery so you can't plug it into a power outlet from your house.You can either draw power with the alligator clip, a pre wired power source (just like the ones from battery tender), or from a cigarette lighter source.Operation is pretty simple too.You just connect the hose to the unit, connect the power cable and draw power from the battery from whatever one of the three above methods and flip the power switch on the unit.

Now the bad... since it's being labeled as a portable inflator, the casing of the unit look very cheap and filmsy.Just like the previous reviewer mentioned, the unit is obnoxiously loud and vibrates like crazy.Finally, it did take almost 5 minutes to inflate my motorcycle tire from 20 to 30psi so I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone trying it on much larger car tires.The owners manual did say that users should not use the unit for more than 8 minutes at a time which I assume wouldn't even be sufficient to add 5 psi of air into a car tire.

Overall, I think the product does a good job of inflating small tires on the go but I am very concerned about its useable life.With the way the unit vibrates while inflating tires and the filmsy looking case, I would not place much confidence on it to last forever.However, if you own a motorycle/ATV and need an inflator on the go, I would suggest this productsince a few tube of air catridges cost just as much as this.

(More customer reviews)If you need a powerful jump starter with the capability to be an alternate power source for 12 VDC products this is it.It is a little large but If you want to run a portable cooler or similar device for nearly 8 hours at a shot this is the best with 32 amp hours of reserve power.We used it to power our cooler and keep our food cold and milk fresh when our car was parked and we were touring various sights on a 6000 mile 22 day adventure vacation.We would power the cooler from the car when we were driving but to avoid draining the car battery down when the car was parked we would use the Jump-N-Carry.At night in the hotel rooms we would recharge the Jump-N-Carry and power the cooler from AC.We paid for the price of the Jump Start with the left over restaurant food we saved in the cooler to eat later. This product will be with us for a long time for a supplemental 12 VDC supply and as an emergency jump start unit.The Jump-N-Carry is really great product.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this charger to charge the battery on my lawn tractor, that's all (although this will work for all of my vehicles too)!I didn't want aportable unit to jumpstart a vehicle or charge other accessories (this is just a vehicle batter charger like the box says).This charger is very simple to use with a one-touch button interface to get things going.I don't know anything about charging batteries or jumping vehicles but I was able to set this up and start charging in about 1 minute.

The included instructions are easy to follow and the charger is ready to go right out of the box.Connect the terminals per the instructions for what you are charging; plug the charger into a standard wall outlet (check for fault light indicating an incorrect connection) then press the one and only button to toggle to the desired amp level (explained in the instructions).

The amp levels are easy to see so selecting the correct one is easy to do.This charger is also fully automatic and will properly charge the battery on it's own at it's own pace for best performance and battery safety.The charger will tell you when it's done charging or if anything is wrong (if that's the case it will display the fault light or will just shut down).

I really like the foolproof design and features (the cables store in the back of the charger) of this simple easy to use charger.I'm not a very handy guy and electricity does make me a little nervous, but using this charger has been a great experience and a joy to use.Whether pro or beginner if you need a battery charger but are a little intimidated by the experience try this one you'll love it!

(More customer reviews)I live on a river and built a campsite on an island across from my house (the dog loves it). I bought a deep-cycle marine battery but am getting too old to lug it in and out of the canoe for charging. So I got this little panel and, so far, have not run out of juice. And it's cheap enough so if someone steals it it's no big tragedy. I run a laptop, TV, fluorescent light and charge my cell phone. I even have a 12v car-vac to clean the sand out of the tent.

Of course, I'm not there 95% of the time so 5 watts is probably adequate. And I don't have to worry about overcharging. I screwed it to a big log in pretty open sun. So far, it has survived, even some small hail.

BTW, I use the power cord from an old vacuum cleaner and a 4-way 12v splitter to distribute power from the battery.

Jump-N-Carry JNC660 1700 Peak Amp 12V Jump Starter Review

(More customer reviews)If you can't start your car or truck with this thing, you have bigger problems than a dead battery! This unit is one of the most powerful portable battery jumpers out there at 1700 peak amps. That's almost twice as powerful as many other lower quality competitors.

This is not a "multi-purpose" unit that you will find at the local big box store. It's not an air compressor, radio, flashlight, food processor and battery jumper. It's only a battery jumper, although it does have a "cigarette-lighter" style socket to power other items if needed.

This is a great product, but consider this before you buy it: This model may not be for everyone. This is a professional grade item and is not intended to be used by people unfamiliar with proper battery jumping procedures. Here's why I say this:

1. Some battery jumping devices have a feature that will alert you if you hook the jumper cables up incorrectly.This unit has no such feature.

2. Some have safety switches that remove power to the cables while you are hooking them up. This unit has no such switch.

3. Some battery jumpers have sophisticated chargers that won't allow you to overcharge the battery.Not this one.When you plug it in to recharge it, you can't just walk away for 2 days and let it charge.You have to monitor it during the recharging process.

4. Some battery jumpers have a set of generic lights to tell you the current state of charge of the booster box.Not this one.It has a voltmeter on the front and you need to know how to read it.

Now, none of these items is THAT big of a deal, but I thought it was worth mentioning. If you aren't familiar with how to properly jump-start a car, you may be better off with another model with more "dummy-proof" features.

One last comment: This Jump n Carry comes with a redeemable certificate for a one-time replacement unit. If (for ANY reason) this unit stops working during its lifetime, you send it back to the company with the certificate (along with $50) and they will repair or replace it, no questions asked. Not a bad deal!

Bottom Line: If you need the most power in a single-purpose jumper box, buy this one!
